I am a female Law and Tefl tutor living in the Croydon area. I am a native speaker of English who has experience of teaching both adults and young learners in an engaging way which achieves results. I currently tutor a number of students in a variety of topics.
Law
I have recently achieved a First Class Honours in my LLB degree and am currently undertaking the Masters level LPC course at the BPP Law School in London. I combine my legal knowledge with my love of teaching to help both young learners and adults to achieve success in their A-level and undergraduate legal studies. The fact that I have graduated this summer and am continuing my studies obviously means that my knowledge of the law is very up to date, and I am confident that I will be able to provide useful guidance and support both throughout the course of your learning and in helping you to consolidate and revise at exam time.
Tefl
I am a CELTA qualified English tutor who is happy to teach all levels, from elementary to proficient, and can cover all aspects of English including grammar, reading, listening and writing skills, speaking and functional language. My aim is to help you to improve your confidence when using English in many situations and to reach any personal or professional goals you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Availability: I have some availability on weekdays and weekends, please get in touch to discuss specific times.
Willing to travel: 1 miles
Experience: I have experience of teaching adults and young learners in both class and one to one settings. I also recently achieved a Pass B in my Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults qualification, during which I undertook and excelled in many classroom observations and written assignments on teaching technique and theory. Prior to my teaching experience I worked for four years within a large college as an Examinations Officer and gained a unique insight into both the GCSE and A-level syllabi and exam processes and am happy to use this experience to help my tutees where appropriate.
I have a genuine love of teaching which I have been told is evident in my classes. I enjoy building rapport with my students and personalising their lessons to ensure that they achieve the required learning outcomes whilst remaining fully engaged in the learning process. I believe that my patient and enthusiastic approach and passion for the subject matter make me suited to tutoring, along with my approachable and friendly nature and familiarity with key syllabi.
