French (ks3, gcse, adult-learner, a-level)
Hello,
I am a Cambridge Graduate and current postgraduate student at the London School of Economics who has recently returned from two years working in Paris. I have plenty of previous teaching experience and am very enthusiastic about teaching the French language and culture to students of varying capabilities (including adult learners at all levels, KS3, GCSE and A-levels). I tailor my lessons to the individual needs of my students and follow a very structured yet very engaging teaching method to make the learning of the language rewarding yet fun.
I firmly believe that the teaching of languages should be done in an engaging and comprehensive manner. In my lessons, I aim to pay equal attention to reading, writing, comprehension and speaking. I believe that by setting a high standard for my students I will encourage them to learn to the best of their ability. The step-by step method I use allows my students to cumulatively build on their knowledge and get a real sense of the complexity of the French language whilst making it easier to comprehend. I get a great pleasure in seeing my students progress and gain confidence throughout the teaching process.
Availability: I am available on weekday evenings and weekends.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have tutored a 11 and a 13 year old (KS3 level, years 1 and 2) to provide one to one support in learning and improving their French.
I regularly organise conversational lessons for individuals wanting to practice and improve their spoken French.
Whilst in Paris I taught English as a foreign language to both young children and adults.
