Ian (Tutor)

I'm a very experienced university lecturer and am Head Of Biology in my current institution. I have taught privately at all levels up to A level in Biology, Science and Maths and although primarily a scientist I am highly numerate. I have four children of my own and am very aware of the difficulties of teaching your own children! Sometimes it is much easier to help them prepare for examinations and tests by having someone outside the family for tuition.

I can give single refresher lessons for specific topics, or a course of lessons over a number of weeks. I recognise that the GCSE mathematics, in particular, is an essential quailification to hold these days and am able to focus teaching on passing examinations.

As part of my work with young people both at university and church I have a valid CRB certificate but am more than happy for parents to be in attendance at all times during the lessons, without the need for explanation.
