I am a graduate of Oxford University, with many years of varied teaching experience. I currently work as a private tutor, and also for an independent sixth-form college in Oxford, providing one-to-one tutorials in all areas of both Philosophy and Religious Studies AS and A2. I have also taught summer school courses in the history of Philosophy and provided intensive revision courses during school holidays. My approach is always tailored to the individual; no two students are ever completely alike, and effective tutoring must acknowledge this. Whilst I try to instil a genuine intellectual curiosity in my students, and encourage a rigorous engagement with the subject, my focus is always upon expedient preparation for exams. To this end, I offer guidance in study skills, revision technique and exam essay writing. I am always happy to discuss particular requirements with parents/guardians, and am flexible with regard to times and teaching locations.
