As a person I am friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about both English and teaching students to help them develop their use of the English language.

I am a qualified, Trinity TESOL teacher with over five years experience of teaching in different areas including extensive experience in private tuition on a one-to-one basis with students who are in the national curriculum as well as non-native speakers. Additionally, I have previously worked as an Education Consultant where I specialised in delivering workshops to help students boost their exam results as well as their confidence in both English Language and English Literature exams.

As a tutor I strongly believe that students are more likely to learn if they enjoy the subject. As a result of this, I am happy to cater to each individual students needs and incorporate different methods and approaches depending on the student’s preferred learning style. Additionally, I highly value the importance of building up a good rapport with students as they are more likely to learn in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
Further to this, I also believe it is important to offer support outside of lessons to both parents and students with regards to additional revision resources and assistance with school homework. Additionally, I frequently create monthly, bespoke learning booklets for students which ensures a continuity in learning, a variety of topics which are relevant and engaging as well as revision exercises including exam style questions complimented with an overview of how to achieve marks in the exam.

Introductory lessons are free of charge.

Experience: National Curriculum

- Over five years’ experience in private one-to-one tuition with successful results with every student including 11+, KS2, KS3 and GCSE.
-Recent 11+ students have obtained scores high enough to apply to (or have been offered) places at the following Henrietta Barnet School, Westcliff High School for Boys, King Edward Grammar School, Chelmsford High School for Girls and New Hall.

- One year experience working in secondary schools across the UK delivering bespoke programmes to enhance students’ abilities in their GCSE exams

- Two year job at an international Kumon centre where I specialised in English working with children from all ages and levels to improve their use of the English Language.

English as a Second Language

- Three years’ experience of one-to-one tuition creating bespoke courses and lessons for individual students focusing on both Conversational and Business English as well as studying for their IELTS exams.

- Eight months teaching placement at language schools working with foreign language students aged 11-18 to aid them in developing and improving their use of the English Language.

- One year training for a Trinity Teachers of English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) course at university which includes various grammar focused modules.
