Hi, I am an experienced Primary School teacher who enjoys supporting individuals to achieve their potential. I particularly enjoy working with children who typically find it difficult to respond in a positive way to traditional classroom teaching. I have extensive knowledge of the EYFS and National Curriculum and work creatively to provide opportunities for learning through practical engagement. This is achieved by taking account of individual learning styles (visual, auditory, auditory digital and kinesthetic) and through planning to respond to interests and linking these to the Curriculum units. I am constantly reviewing and reflecting on my sessions to inform future planning.

Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends. Some availability over the Summer holidays (dependent on Forest School Workshop times)

Experience: I previously worked as a teaching assistant at a Specialist Support Primary School while training to become a teacher and I have now been teaching for over four years in Specialist Support and mainstream education. My current experience and knowledge extends to both KS1 and KS2 and I wish to apply my skills to teaching at KS3 and KS4 level as well. In recent years my areas of specialism have included EYFS (Coordinator) and transition to Year 1, SEN (Moderate, severe and profound and multiple) and key subject areas (Science and Maths). I have previously worked with disaffected individuals and have trained in a range of areas to support a variety of learning needs.

Qualifications: GCSEs (A-C) A-Levels (English Literature, Art History) BA (Hons), PGCE with QTS. Forest School Leader award (L3) with ITC First Aid. Team Teach, PECS, Child Protection Foundation.
