A-level Chemistry tutoring and IB Chemistry tutoring from an experienced teacher, tutor, revision course tutor, examiner and head of department. GAMSAT and University Chemistry tutoring also available.
Availability: Tutoring is flexible according to needs with effective problem solving, consolidation and examination training are all on offer. Graham’s experience as an examiner, question writer and editor enables him to help students understand how papers are set and marked, what examination boards are looking for, how to revise more efficiently, and how to achieve better results. Students seeking to achieve higher grades e.g. for entry to medical school, should find this tuition particularly helpful.
Most tuition is available from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and from 4pm to 6pm on Mondays to Thursdays. Tutoring for two or three students together is also possible. Tuition can be arranged at the student’s home, a library, another suitable venue, or online. Enquiries from the local area and from further away are welcome. Students living further away may choose to travel in or may find online tuition convenient and practical. Ongoing support is available to all students between sessions. Students and parents are welcome to contact Graham to discuss possibilities.
Sessions are usually two hours with a five minute break in the middle. Fees for one student are from £50 per hour or part on an hour and for two or three students together are from £35 each per hour or part of an hour. Lessons may be fortnightly, three weekly, weekly, monthly, half termly, or even just occasionally. Some may prefer to book a number of tutoring sessions during school holidays when they have more availability.
Graham is a highly regarded and successful tutor who has good relationships with his pupils.

Jan 2011: C.R. has gone to St Andrews University where she has made lots of friends and is very happy. She did not apply for medicine in the end. She is now doing 2nd year Chemistry. Mrs A.R.
Mar. 2010: I.R. gained a high B grade for the Edexcel AS Chemistry module, only a few marks short of an A according to her teacher, which I think is an excellent jump from the E grade. I know that she benefited enormously from your tuition. Thank you again. Mrs C.R.
Aug. 2010: I had my UCL referral interview last Tuesday, and this week I found out that I have passed. Thank you so much for all of your help. Thanks again, J.E.

I think that B.J. has already let you know her results and although not a 6, we are very pleased and would like to thank you for your help and support. B.J. has now had confirmation of her place at university.....and with a few points to spare! Many Thanks, Mrs K.C.

Aug 2011: I got an A in my Salters A-level Chemistry, with 3As and 2Bs for both years, which meant I got accepted to study Biomedical Sciences at King`s College London. Thank you for all your help. Thanks again, G.P.
Sept. 2011: I was originally working at a low E grade. I found that working with you on exam technique was particularly helpful, as well as the way you explained complex ideas simply so that they were easy to understand. I was able to apply the exam techniques you taught me in my other subjects which helped to improve my grades across the board. Without doubt I would not have achieved the OCR A Chemistry A grade without your help. My A levels went better than I had expected, with an A in Maths, and As in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I`ll be moving to London to attend Barts and the London medical school. Thank you again for all the help you have given me. Many thanks, R.W.
Sept. 2011: E.N. passed his Oxford University Chemistry first year exam resit! Phew what a relief! He got 63% which he is pleased with. I can`t thank you enough for all you did, particularly through the summer holidays. Thank you. J.N. ....... My exam result was 63% which is 2.1 level, which is not too bad, 70% would be a first, the pass mark was 40%. Thank you very much for all your help. E.N.
April 2012: Online tuition works well and is easy to fit into a tight schedule. L.R.
May 2012: I found the online tuition to be both convenient and incredibly helpful! Even with my slow internet connection it ran smoothly and I found it easy to screen share and send/receive files via Skype. Being able to follow presentations and tutorials in this way, along with video calling, made for a very complete learning experience. I would not hesitate to receive tuition online in the future. It’s really good, I’m amazed how well it works. T.S.
May 2012: I liked online tuition because it was in the comfort of my room and I had everything I needed with me. You could also send documents which was useful and I could talk to you. It doesn`t seem much different in terms of what we get done as a normal face to face session. H.K.
May 2012: I can`t thank you enough for your help. The exam went brilliantly! P.K.
