Qualified English Teacher with 2 Degrees in English and Primary/Secondary/A-level/Degree experience.

I have worked in both Primary and Secondary schools and gained my Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary Education. In addition, I have tutored A-Level and lectured at University level.

I left my post at Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School in July 2010 to pursue a PhD in English (year 2 of 3), I supply teach and write educational articles while studying.

I am also a Local Authority School Governor and Vice Chairman of Curriculum.

I pride myself on having up to date information on a range of teaching practices. I am extremely organised, efficient and dedicated to offering the best service and helping each customer achieve their full potential.

I can assist with:

- General English issues (such as reading and writing etc)

- Examination preparation, revision and practice (SATS, GCSE, A-LEVEL)

- Coursework (GCSE, A-LEVEL)

- Literature analysis (assistance on a specific text maybe studied at GCSE such as Romeo and Juliet).

- I also have experience with Asperger Syndrome and Dyspraxia

In the first session I assess the student's abilities and devise a plan of action and create lesson plans, resources and any study aids they will need. I believe that every student needs individualised sessions that are interesting, fun, practical and geared around ensuring the student learns successfully.

Availability: Week day, weekends and evenings. I offer long term, short term or one off tutoring sessions. Length of sessions can be 30 minutes, 1 hour or 1 hour 1/2. I can visit as many times as you need, whether this is several times a week or even once a month.

If I travel to you - depending on the distance there may be a small £5 additional fee for travel costs.

Days available: Wednesday, Tuesday 6.30 onwards, Friday, Sunday.

Experience: I have experience tutoring primary (KS2), secondary (KS3,KS4) A-Level and University. I am happy to teach children and adults. I also have experience with SEN.
