The purpose of my tutoring service is to provide children of all ages and abilities the opportunity to attain mastery and confidence in math and reading comprehension. The program furnishes the structure and the guideposts to real success.

The Math program is a return to the classical way of achieving mastery of calculation skills and mental math. My math program is a linear curriculum. Concepts are learned in a step-by-step manner until the student "owns" each new concept before moving to the next. The math program is also enhanced with weekly drills in preparation for state standardized testing.

My Reading program consists of learning to read and reading for comprehension. "Learning to Read" utilizes the two-pronged approach: phonetic approach and memorizing sight words. "Reading for Comprehension" emphasis on vocabulary, grammar, and writing. The reading program also prepares students for state standardized tests.

Experience: I have 16 years of home schooling children and 6 years of tutoring service. I have developed math and reading program that complement to the school curriculum, therefore, help children to gain confidence and mastery in both math and reading. I also train the children critical thinking skills and mental math.
