I am a young 51 year old currently working part-time as an operational research consultant. I have a first degree in Physics with Maths and a PhD in Physics, and have worked in industry for over 20 years, applying maths on a daily basis. My tutoring experience began with my own children and has led on, over the past four years, to teaching several others at levels ranging from Key Stage 2 to A2 Further Maths. My approach to tutoring focuses on building confidence through understanding and practice. I aim to keep sessions relaxed and friendly and encourage students to feel that it’s OK to make mistakes since this enables me to understand things from their perspective and guide them in the right direction.
