I am a fully qualified teacher with two years experience and I am currently studying a masters full-time. I taught science full-time in a secondary comprehensive for two years and I have taught four tutees privately. Three of the tutees started out being taught GCSE science and then requested GCSE maths. The fourth tutee is in year 7 and I have taughther maths to top-up her school lessons. Whilst full-time teaching I taught all years and abilities from year 7 to year 13.

I really enjoy tutoring. I find 1-2-1 tuition very effective as I can really focus on what the pupil needs and pick up any gaps in understanding or misconceptions quickly. I like to relate science and maths to real life situations wherever possible, as I find that it makes the learning easier to digest. I always get a copy of the syllabus of the course that the pupil is studying, and copies of past exam papers, so that I make sure I am covering all the relevant material for their exams. I can supply homework if required to support the tutoring sessions. I have a current, full CRB certificate (Feb 2010).
