I am a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher who has been on the special fast-track scheme (the government's accelerated-promotion scheme for selected teachers). I also have a wide range of private tuition experience. I am currently working as a distance-learning tutor and charge approximately £6-£15 per week.

I have an extensive knowledge of the private tuition sector and I realised that I can offer an effective alternative to expensive face-to-face tuition. The tutoring I offer is more flexible, cost-effective distance learning - and it works!

I will assess your child's current abilities, strengths and weaknesses, I will then use the results of this assessment to devise a 12 week plan that will ensure that your child makes excellent progress.
Each week I will send a set of five (or more if requested) activities by email.
This set of activities will be designed to meet your child's specific learning needs. The set will usually include detailed parent’s notes and answers, example sheets or guidance notes for your child to refer to and worksheets designed to practice, develop and test skills.
Your child simply familiarises themselves with any keys points to remember and completes the activities.

Availability: As I am a distance tutor, your child can work at a time that suits him/her.

Experience: I am an experienced primary school teacher, having taught all ages from 4-11 years.
I have also worked as a private tutor for 8 years and as a teacher in a tuition centre for 3 years.
I have privately tutored over 70 children, between the ages of 4-16, either on an individual basis, or in group settings.
My tuition experience has been primarily in maths and English.
I have also taught an 11+ and entrance exam course to many children (all of whom passed their exam).

Qualifications: 9 GCSE's (including 7 at grade A),
4 A' Levels,
BA (Hons) degree 2.1 from Liverpool University,
PGCE from St. Martin's College, Lancaster
