Filmmaking (researcher)
History (primary, ks3, gcse, degree, adult-learner, a-level)
I am happy to tutor anybody online or in Manchester who would like help with History, film or archaeological studies. I have a great approach to teaching and have a proven track record in getting the very best out of students.
I studied at Manchester University and Bristol University gaining a distinction for a MA in archaeology and screen media. As a student I worked on the Stonehenge Riverside project and abroad in Africa and America.
My most recent work, in conjunction with the National Trust and Bristol University, was based on an excavation of the lost wing of William Wordsworth's Lake District Mansion, Allan Bank, in which I produced a 20 minute award winning documentary. Moreover she has recently finished years of work in commercial archaeology and embarked on a career working with production companies and developing fascinating historical documentaries.

This was a 15-minute documentary into the memories of William Wordsworth’s Lake District mansion. I directed, produced and edited the film alongside directing an archaeological excavation to locate the lost wing, and an outreach project to promote archaeology with young children locally. The film was very well received and created interest in the subject matterfrom several production companies. It went on to aid Allan Bank in receiving World Heritage Status and having the house renovated in a multi million pound project in the summer of 2010. Beyond the film I have presented conference papers at events on the subject and carried on much work with the Young Archaeologists Club in Bristol. Throughout the course I shot, directed and edited a number of well received short films.
