French (primary, ks3, gcse, degree, adult-learner, a-level)
Italian (primary, ks3, gcse, degree, adult-learner, a-level)
I'm friendly, organised and dynamic, and speak fluent French and Italian. When tutoring, I am always keen to establish each tutee's individual needs and aims, and work in accordance with those, whether through practising grammar, essay writing, or conversation.
I'm a freelance translator from French and Italian into English, so I deal with languages every day.
Availability: Daytimes and evenings.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I taught French in a primary school as a work experience project, and also spent a year teaching English in French primary schools before going to university. These experiences helped me to develop my skills as a teacher/tutor, and I am familiar with various teaching methods. As part of my degree, I spent 5 months working in Paris, and 5 months studying in Italy, which was incredibly beneficial to my language skills.
Qualifications: I have a Masters in Translation from the University of Exeter; I graduated in January 2010 with a Distinction. Prior to my postgrad, I did a BA (Hons) in French and Italian at the University of Bristol, and graduated in July 2008 with a 2:1.
