Joel (Tutor)
I am a trained geologist, and have used various scientific and mathematical tools within my study. I have recently returned to the UK from East Africa, where I have been using my skills in water projects. I am currently studying for a PhD at King`s College London, researching natural hazards.
I am a friendly and patient person, with an excellent ability to engage with people. I have good communication skills and am able to explain things in a clear and logical way. I have an excellent academic record, and have a genuine enjoyment for study and teaching.
People learn in different ways, and I try to understand the student to determine how they will best learn (writing, diagrams, debate & discussions etc). Subject knowledge is then explored through this method, and practice questions and past-papers examined.
