Information about Peter
I am an experienced economics & Business Studies teacher with 36 years teaching under my belt.
I am also an examiner for both econ & business studies for both AQA and OCR boards and therefore can provide my students with the technique to maximum their potential.
I also use a virtual classroom for my online sessions with an interactive online whiteboard. The first session (about 30 minutes) is TOTALLY FREE to help offset the introduction fee you have to pay to the site to access my details. The only technical requirements are: reasonable broadband, headphones and microphone webcam is optional.

I would highly recommend Peter to anyone looking for a tutor in Economics. Over the past 2 years he has greatly increased both my confidence and skill with this subject. He has given me support and guidance when I have struggled yet has never let me become lazy or reliant. A problem I feel many students have is that they are unsure or unaware of how to answer exam questions, Peter`s knowledge of exam boards meant that I was aware at all times what the examiners are looking for whilst learning the material. This meant that when it came to the exam, I had confidence in both my knowledge and exam skills. Peter is patient yet pushes you to achieve the best you can. When I first started being tutored I had very little confidence in economics and a grade E in my Macro AS, by the end of my tutoring I went up 5 grades to achieve an overall grade A in Economics. I would not have been able to achieve this grade without him and I am very thankful! (original document available on request)
Availability: I an available most days including week-ends.
Please note that I mainly teach from home or on-line. On rare occasions I do travel to students but charge both for my time and mileage plus other expenses such as parking.

Peter has done a great job for my son who is studying for his `A` Level Economics. He has provided 2 hours tuition per week for the whole of his second `A` level year. The result is that he has progressed from a fail at the end of first year exams to (hopefully) a `B` or even possibly an `A`. Peter has helped my son get to grips with the course content which has greatly improved his understanding and boosted his confidence. He has also done a lot of work on essay writing and how to approach the all important 25 mark questions, explaining how to get from 15 or 16 to around 20 marks or better per question. My son has become more able to understand and communicate all of the concepts and diagrams required to maximise marks by giving the examiners what they are looking for. My son has really enjoyed his sessions with Peter which he actively looks forward to. I actually think he will miss his sessions when the `A` levels are finished! I would warmly recommend Peter to anyone who is looking for additional help with the subject.

Peter is not just knowledgeable about Economics but, with many years teaching under his belt, is suitably experienced at teaching A level Economics and knowing exactly what students need to learn to help them progress. He is also committed and very conscientious in his role as tutor and wants the best for his students. My son has found him to be of real benefit and has really helped him develop confidence in this difficult subject
