Jacqueline (Tutor)

I am a highly qualified and very experienced teacher of English Literature and Language. I offer AS and A2 level English Literature, English Language, and Language and Literature (all boards), and university level tuition in Shakespeare, foundation level language, literary linguistics and text-based language studies. In recent years I have been a senior examiner for AQA (Literature), and can therefore help students achieve what the examiners are looking for.
My students consistently achieve higher than average results, including places at Oxbridge and first class honours degrees, but I am interested in the whole person, not just the exam result, and am experienced in working with all ability levels.

6 years' teaching at undergraduate level (University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University), including also masters level at Aston University.

Qualifications: PhD - Shakespeare's language (University of Birmingham 2011)
MA (distinction) - Literary Linguistics (University of Birmingham, 2006)
BA hons (first class) - English and American Literature, University of Warwick (1981).
Certificate in Education, Further and Higher Education - Birmingham City University (2003)
