Prior to becoming a full-time academic I spent seven years in the UK military, and business and commerce sectors, including managerial. I have also been widely published in scholarly research areas. My range of interests include reading, TV documentaries, walking, and travel. I am currently undertaking research into Thailand's social, economic and national security concerns. I have also had 1 paper published in this area of investigation thus far.
