Prior to the above employment I worked as a registered childminder respite carer and foster carer all of which gave me a vast amount of experience caring for children both in need and those with impairments, in particular children on the autistic spectrum and those with ADHD. This experience is put to use both when teaching and assessing, and has played a large part when writing any courses... I have worked with many different professionals over the years, including childminders, and parents, this has given me a wealth of knowledge in diversity, acceptance and above all understanding individual needs. This knowledge is regularly used when delivering outreach courses, the lesson plans are in place as such, but for every course that is delivered I amend to ensure all learners can take part and actually gain from attending the course. Hand outs and activities are changed to meet the learner’s needs and requirements.
