Prior to qualifying as a teacher, I had spent the majority of my adult working life supporting and caring for adults amd children with a variety of learning difficulties and psychiatric issues. This was a field of work which frequently placed me in the position of teacher/tutor or trainer.
Thus, it seemed quite natural and logical to move into teaching on an official basis. English has always been my main subject area but I am also qualified to teach Drama.
I have recently purchased a webcam and am now able to offer tuition online via the means of this device.

Availability: I am available seven days a week between the hours of 7am and 6pm. These times could be extended if I was to tutor a student in another country over the internet, taking into account the different time zones.

Experience: I qualified in 2001 and spent some time teaching English and and Drama in al local secondary school before moving on to teach Drama to adults with learning difficulties. I then spent five years tutoring children excluded from mainstream education, usually because they presented with quite severe behavioural challenges.

Qualifications: B.A.(Honours) English 2:1 - University Of Teesside;
Postgraduate Certificate in Education - University of Durham; Postgraduate Diploma in Education -University Of Durham.
