 Maths (primary, ks3, gcse, adult-learner, a-level)

I am currently studying for a master’s degree in Mathematics at the University of Nottingham. I have tutoring experience and also have experience working in secondary schools. This including mentoring pupils one-to-one, helping small groups with maths work and leading whole class activities. I worked at the Aimhigher maths conference which is for year 11 pupils who are grade C borderline, to help boost their grade. This opportunity gave me lots of ideas for maths activities and also taught me how to help pupils overcome common misunderstandings in maths.
In my free time I enjoy aerobics and zumba. I also love reading. I go to a Methodist church where I help every week with the youth group and I am also a member of the singing group. As you can see my speciality is maths but if you require tutoring in any other subjects I have A levels in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics at grade A and also AS level English literature grade A.

Experience: I have 4 months experience tutoring GCSE Maths both higher and foundation level. My tutoring sessions including planning activities to help in specific areas of maths, helping with homework and practicing past paper questions with pupils. I also have experience working as a mentor in a secondary school. This role included helping pupils achieve their potential through subject help, informing pupils about higher education courses and confidence building activities. I took part in the student associate scheme where I worked for 3 weeks as a classroom assistant in maths lessons and whilst at the school I also planned and led several maths lessons.

Qualifications: I finished my degree in Mathematics in July 2011 and I am currently studying for a master`s degree at the University of Nottingham. I have A levels in Maths (grade A), Chemistry (grade A) and Biology (grade A).
