I believe that education has a vital part to play in building the confidence and self esteem of all those who take part. I enjoy working with young people and helping to give others the same sense of achievement I have gained from my own studies.
I have excellent planning and organisational skills.I understanding of the little things that crop up in education to put students off learning but I find with a little help all situations can be over come
I am also willing to go that extra mile for all students

Availability: My teaching skills include having the ability to think on my feet, researching a subject to solve a problem, motivating students into wanting to succeed, understanding the different styles of learning and adapting these to suit individuals. I also have a positive mental attitude and a high level of self motivation.

Experience: • . Now temping for in training in both Chesterfield and Worksop branches as an Employability Coach/Tutor,

• I then worked as a Mentor for St Benedict School in Derby mentoring children with low confidence and no motivation

• Have been temping for T.B.G. Learning with there C.Temp group of 18-24 year olds doing their interview techniques, thought role play activities.

• Exam invigilation at various Sheffield Schools

• I have just finished a contract with J.H.P.Training as a Skills 4 Life Tutor/Employability Tutor
• My role included teaching Literacy, Numeracy, and I.C.T as well as C.V preparation writing specs letters, completing of job application and D.H.S.S forms e.g. Family Tax Credit forms.
• My role involved interviewing for the course assessing students using the BGSK assessment on the computer, it assesses entry levels 1-3 and up to level 2 in Mathematics’ and English.

• This assessment programme was created by West Nottinghamshire College.

• I was doing individual learning plans, planning and delivering lessons. Marking of completed work, helping out with vocational skills were possible. I also set the students individual goals in the own subject area e.g. Child Care, Retail and Warehouse this was in preparation for an apprentship.

• I worked Voluntary alongside staff at Secondary Schools in Derby.

• I also worked with Aim Higher at Derby University, showing students from local Schools around the University. These students are thought to be the ones to achieve good G.C.S.E grades. I also worked as a Mentor at Murray Park School in Derby through Aim Higher. To support students in year 10 who were struggling with English and Maths.

Various assignments working across Primary, secondary and special needs including;

• Wild Berry Nursery teaching Yr 3 for 2 weeks and supporting a TA
• Hasland Junior School as a cover supervisor for KS2 (6 months)
• Quarry Dale School as a cover supervisor for 9 weeks
• Queen Elisabeth School, teaching English for 3 weeks with children with behavioural needs.
• Special Needs Teacher (Derby) for 5 weeks, working with primary aged children with physical disability, and behavioural needs, sensory impairments and challenging needs

• Now doing supply in Nottingham as a senior cover supervisor/teacher.
