I study Chemistry at the University of Birmingham, which involves different chemistry modules as well as maths and IT. I play clarinet to Grade 8 standard.
I enjoy working with children of all ages, and believe I am able to make a subject seem interesting as well as teaching it to a high standard.
Previous jobs involved CRB checks which can be shown on request, and tutoring can be arranged at own home, my home or library dependant on the situation.
When starting with a new tutee an initial meet and greet session will be arranged. This will help me get a knowledge of a student's strengths and weaknesses, and their best learning techniques. This session is free of charge and no obligation to receieve tutoring from me after this session.
If a student wishes to start tuition I will then plan a personal timetable of key subjects we will cover in our time together, as well as allowing time for problems that might arise within lessons. I also like to make sure that learning skills are a part of my lessons, to insure that a student succeeds in all areas of their education.
I believe tutoring is an excellent way of enhancing a student's education and preparing for those daunting summer exams.

Experience: I have taught children as a profession for the last two years.
Through sixth form I worked for a Saturday music and performing arts centre, which involved teaching children aged 5-16 different aspects of music.
Last summer, I worked for an activity summer camp, which involved working over 40 hours a week with the children either instructing them in an activity or making sure they were entertained during their breaks. During the summer I was recognised as being especially good with supervising children under the age of 8, and so was appointed as Under-8 coordinator.
I have previously tutored, and had positive comments from my students.
