I am a former university lecturer, having held several teaching and research positions in the UK and Republic of Ireland, where I taught a wide variety of undergraduate courses in mathematical physics. I have also taught (I)GCSE and A level mathematics and physics at international colleges in Oxford. For the past six years, I have divided my time between software development for a variety of sectors and providing private tuition in mathematics and physics. For high school students, I provide tuition at (I)GCSE level and above, while for adult learners, I provide tuition at all levels. I also provide tuition for the Scottish Certificate of Excellence (all levels.)

Over this period, I have had over 100 long-term tutees, with a wide variety of needs. While most of my students have been looking for help with GCSEs and A levels, I have also, frequently, been able to provide a great deal of assistance to students with more individual needs, in relation to, for example, statistical analysis in undergraduate and postgraduate projects, and in giving coaching for the PCGE qualification. I am also experienced in assisting students with dyslexia and dyspraxia.
