I have 16 years experience of teaching in Secondary Schools to GCSE in Maths and Science. My particular area of excellence is in motivating and enthusing those students who find it difficult to accept their own ability and the benefits of attaining better grades.
I have experience as a Head of Year and as a Connexions Coordinator in school so can include guidance on future pathways in tutor sessions. My philosophy is that all young people are equal but some need a litle help to achieve their best so all sessions are developed around individual needs. I welcome parental interest in the planning of each course of tutoring and would report on progress towards school targets once a month if required.
An initial visit to assess the student needs can be made with no charge other than travelling costs.
