primary level: £20 per hourI am a fully qualified teacher and have taught for more than 30 years in primary schools both in the state and independent sector. I have had many years’ experience tutoring 1:1 and in small groups.
For the last 16 years I have been responsible for the year 5 class in a local private school. As well as general class teaching, I was also a member of the Senior Management Team, overseeing the curriculum, assessment and reporting and preparing the children for their 11+ entrance exams.
At this school, I was also responsible for both the organisation and the delivery of 11+ Saturday classes and Study Weeks. These classes were very popular and successful, attracting children from other local private and state schools.
Availability: I run after school classes in small groups for year 5 children on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Sidcup, Swanley and Dartford areas, concentrating on Maths and Verbal Reasoning for the 11+ exam.I also run Saturday morning classes and Study Weeks from Easter throughout the summer term and holiday periods.
