Beth (Tutor)

I am an English finalist at Oxford University, spending the summer in Wales at my parents house. Next year I hope to secure a position with Teach First, an organisation which trains top-tier graduates on the job in under-privileged areas. I have completed a great deal of work experience at both Primary and Secondary levels, and have also acted as a mentor, through an Oxford-based charity, to children and young adults in deprived areas of Oxford. I have also been actively involved in Access Schemes which encourage teenagers such as myself from State Schools to apply to Oxford, throughout my three years at University.

Availability: Very flexible.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: I have acted as a mentor to a number of young people hoping to attend Oxford University and have spent a number of weeks each year completing work experience in schools since I was 15. I have also been working with the Vale of Glamorgan LEA for several years, ensuring that all members of the community are aware of the benefits of the 'Better Reading' programme.
