Philosophy (gcse, adult-learner, a-level)
Psychology (ks3, gcse, a-level)
I am at the close of my second year as an undergraduate at King's College Cambridge reading Philosophy and Experimental Psychology, with a particular interest in political philosophy and developmental psychology. The discipline is highly analytic, with a strong emphasis on critique and precision in reasoning. This is an approach I adopt towards any subject area and I would hope to encourage the development of these skills in lessons. I have been involved in a great deal of volunteer work with children and hope to become a teacher after completing my degree.
I am also very keen that all children have the best educational opportunities so am more than happy to discuss reduced tuition fees if needed.
Availability: I am available throuh most of the summer holidays and will be available online through the year.
I am happy to travel to tutee's, and charge no travel expenses.

Experience: I have initated and run a holiday club for children aged 4-12, lead a drama group for year 7's, and been an assistant leader of a Brownie and Guide pack and taken part in school reading and PSHE schemes. Throughout I have been keen to encourage learning. For example I ran a session on Chinese New Year in which the children learnt how to pronounce and write numbers in mandarin. The holiday club I ran was centred around a historical theme and taught children about Rome, Egypt, China and India.
Having been through the Cambridge application procedure I'd also be happy to offer advice on university applications, interview technique and essays as well as writing personal statements to A level students.
