Béata is a jazz and musical theatre singer, songwriter and a vocal
tutor. She graduated from a jazz degree at Middlesex University and been awarded a BA Jazz with Upper Second Class Honours. She studied under internationally acclaimed jazz musicians: Chris Batchelor, Nikki Iles and Anita Wardell, just to name a few.

She started singing at the age of 16 when she joined a Gospel Choir whom she performed with for another three years and took part in the recording of their first album. At the same time, she got involved in a Musical Theatre production and started professional vocal training.

As a singer, she has gained her experience through solo work, performing with her trio/quartet and many jazz musicians at various London venues and abroad as well as being part of choirs and vocal groups.

As a vocal teacher she has developed a high standard of teaching skills and gained a broad knowledge of the vocal technique through critical observations and academic research while being a music student and throughout her past and present performing activity. She is confident at teaching variety of styles ranging from jazz, pop to Musical Theatre. Currently, Béata is expanding her private practice teaching both adults and children.
Her speciality is vocal technique but she also values the importance of repertoire work and ear training which immensely improves students’ musicality and helps them grow artistically.

Sessions are tailored to match each individual’s needs and expectations, and will focus on: improving projection, breathing, making the vocal production more natural, understandable and enjoyable, expanding vocal range with an even sound throughout all the registers, pitching, learning different vocal techniques suitable for different styles of music, work on the repertoire and ear training.

Availability: Monday - Sunday flexible times available to suit your timetable.
