As an experienced visual arts educator and practitioner I would relish the opportunity to provide tailored practical guidance and support in all levels of Art and English to both adults and children of all ages and abilities through to postgraduate level. I am currently a Trainee Teacher at the IOE so have a sound knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements from KS3 through to A-Level to ensure my students achieve their goals.
My educational background includes as MA Distinction in Art and Media Practice and BA Fine Art from Goldsmiths with further studies at St. Martins. Although my real passion is figurative painting in oils, I also have and a broad knowledge of other arts disciplines which extends to an interest in fashion illustration, design and sculpture, with experience in resin casting, printmaking and site-specific installations incorporating video and sound. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of Art History and contemporary critical theory with my students and have experience in curating solo and group exhibitions.
I enjoy providing targeted advice and guidance on practice, theory and academic assignments at all levels, tailored to my students individual needs. Areas covered include:figurative drawing and painting in oils, Fashion Illustration, Interior Design at Foundation Level, GCSE and A-Level portfolio compilation and project contextualization. AS and A-Level (A* achieved when predicted D grade).
