Personal Descri ption:
I am a former Head of Science with over 8 years teaching experience. I enjoy teaching and tutoring and would like to concentrate on tutoring alone for the foreseeable future.

Teaching Experience:
Over eight years experience teaching biology, chemistry and physics to A-level. Five years experience teaching mathematics to A-level. Three years experience working with special needs students - particularly asperger syndrome.

Tutoring Approach:
I prefer to work with the knowledge students already possess and build from there: expect learning targets, pre-tests, progress tests and honest reports on strengths and weakness - very calm, patient and supportive with lessons. Lessons are structured to provide exactly what you need to know, well explained, tailored to meet the student`s needs: includes a variety of hands on material and varied learning styles. Good support with English and Maths literacy also included.

Availability: Available anytime - in the confort of your own home -at a time suitable to you.

Experience: Over 10 years` experience in schools - with two years` experience as head of Key stage 3-5 science and Senior Mathematics

Broad experience in teaching students with special needs.

Qualifications: Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching
PhD in Biology/Chemistry
BSc (Genetics/Biochemistry - majors)
