I am an professional, enthusiastic and flexible tutor who creates individualised sessions to support whoever I am working with to achieve their goals.
Having always been involved in the education sector I have found that the most successful educational experiences are largely based around a combination of engagement, enjoyment and relevant methods of delivery. As both a lecturer and private tutor I always consider these elements when working with students. As each individual is different I firmly believe that support offered should be individually tailored so that each person can get the absolute most out of their education. As Keats argued, education should not just be about filling minds like jugs, but about igniting a spark that lights a fire that lasts a life time.

Availability: I am available most week day days and all week day evenings.

Experience: I have been working in the education sector for 6 years since graduating with a combined English degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2005. Since this time I have taught and lectured in both more traditional subject based lessons (for example English Language or Literature), but have also offered academic support for areas such as academic writing, proof reading, essay construction etc. I am qualified to teach to degree level though enjoy working with a wide range of age groups.

For the past 12 months, in addition to lecturing I have also been working as a private tutor and have found this style of learning allows for support that is tailored to the individual student in a much greater way than can be offered in a traditional classroom setting. A one to one approach also allows the student and family to have a much greater input (should this be desired) as to the content of the sessions and method(s) of delivery.
