I am an experienced English and History tutor, with my most recent teaching in a local FE college. I am happy to travel to your home or to conduct tutoring at my home. During the revision period January-end April I am only able to offer tuition in my home to new `revision only` students, to enable demand to be met.
I have worked in a number of different environments including private education, college and university, and now have many years as a private tutor. I am also a school governor.
I believe in making learning enjoyable, fun and interactive, no matter what the age or level of teaching needed. Examination technique and special needs support a speciality!

Availability: Monday - Friday (daytime and evenings) 9.00am-8.30pm (start times)
Lessons 1 hour minimum
Some Saturdays during revision period (Easter-May)

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: 10+ years teaching and tutoring experience, KS3 - A level English, History and Business Studies + under-graduate English & Communication.
Additional experience in special needs and teaching English as a second language to adults and children.
Experienced foster carer - extensive understanding of educational attainment issues of looked after children.
School Governor and educational advisor.
