Hi there!

My name is Alice and I am a caring, patient and fun tutor with lots of experience and passion for teaching!

I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Birmingham studying joint honours English Literature and Drama, and so my speciality lies in these subjects, though I can also offer excellent tuition for GCSE level students in History and French, and can offer all round tuition for younger students.

I have taken 3 teaching qualifications, including an NVQ in Childcare and Learning Development, and a 2 year part time teacher training course. For the past 3 years I have worked as a paid teacher at my local synagogue and every summer I volunteer as a leader on a children`s summer camp, so I have plenty of experience and lots of enthusiasm!

My experience with and love for teaching children allows me to be an extremely patient tutor, working around the specific needs of the child and working on the areas that they need to develop so that they gain confidence and are able to reach their full potential in a calm and hopefully extremely fun environment! I can either work to help a child learn for an exam or simply to help them build confidence in a subject - I will work around your child`s needs!

Experience: For the last 3 years I have worked as a teacher at Wimbledon and District Synagogue for 2 and a half hours on a Sunday morning. I had to plan all of the lessons and worked with a range of students from ages 6-12.

I have also volunteered as a leader on a residential summer camp for the past 2 years, where I was working with 13 year olds. The camps included elements of both education and leading the children in fun and physical activities.

During school I also volunteered on a weekly basis at my local After School Club for Primary School children, and at my local Youth Club for children between the ages of 8 and 14.
