Psychology (degree, adult-learner, a-level)
I currently work as a tutor at the International College of Wales, and as a teaching assistant in the Psychology department at Swansea University. I enjoy working with students to help them better understand psychology. I am happy to format tutorials so that they best suit your individual needs.
Availability: Weekdays and evenings
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I work as an academic support tutor at the International College of Wales at Swansea University. I deliver tutorials which support the material that is taught on the bachelors programme to ensure that the student gains a full understanding of the topics. As well as teaching specific content, I also conduct tutorials which aim to improve essay marks, help with exam revision, and skills for reading and understanding peer reviewed journal articles.
I also mark undergraduate essays in the Psychology department, which has given me much insight into the best ways (and worst ways!) to write an essay!
Qualifications: Submitted PhD thesis in Jan 2012, awaiting viva exam.
MSc Behaviour Analysis (with distinction), Swansea University.
BA Psychology (2.1), Swansea University.
A-level in Psychology (grade A), French (grade B) and Biology (grade D).
I have 10 GCSEs (four A s, five As, one B).
