I am a chemistry doctorate living in Durham City, I am a very experienced tutor, with nearly ten years experience, and really enjoy teaching sciences. I have a very friendly and approachable style and have always managed to help my students achieve excellent results while making sessions enjoyable.
My speciality and passion is Chemistry from KS3 up to degree level.
I have worked in drug-design research for many years and am able to communicate complex problems and concepts clearly to help understanding of these sometimes difficult subjects.

Alice has been tutorinmg my daughter in both Chemistry and Biology for three weeks in preparation for her forthcoming AS level exams. My daughter has fully engaged with Alice and has found her lessons to be of enormous benfit. She is clear, precise and has a lovely easygoing nature. Having had experience with a tutor at GCSE level it is vital for students not to get bored and disheartened and Alice ensures lessons are `enjoyuable`. I would highly recommend Alice.

My son has been tutored By Dr Alice at A level (final year) for both Chemistry and Biology to provide extra tuition and guidance to support his classroom studies. We have been very impressed with her approach and teaching. Alice is professional in all aspects of her work, has a relaxed and friendly attitude and is very approachable. She was prepared for each session, even leaving extra assignments over the holiday periods which was an added bonus. Alice has also taken the time to follow up on my son’s progress after each exam. Alice balances a caring and relaxed attitude to work whilst possessing an in-depth knowledge of each subject at the specific level required.
