I am an enthusiastic teacher with over 40 years’ experience in both private and state schools and Sixth Form and Further Education colleges, where I have prepared students for a range of examinations and other qualifications. I have particular expertise in helping students bridge the gap between GCSE and AS level - and love grammar! I have also worked as a private tutor and as a provider of courses and interpreting services for local businesses. My students have ranged in age from 2 to 80-plus. I have a passion for languages and I teach Spanish and French to A level and can also offer German and Italian to intermediate level and basic introductory courses in Russian and Latin. I also offer conversational English for speakers of other languages. Lessons can be held during the day-time or in the evening, during the week or at the weekend, either in my home or in yours and, naturally, each course will be tailor-made to suit your exact requirements – and fun!
Please note that, very sadly, contractual agreements mean that I am not permitted to offer private tuition to any student currently on roll at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington.
