Hello there! My name is Denny, and I`m a 1st-class English graduate with TEFL and secondary-school teaching experience. I also have more than 11 years of editorial work under my belt.

From demystifying Shakespearean verse to clarifying the present perfect continuous, I enjoy the buzz of helping students engage with English and overcome struggles in their learning.

I also speak proficient German, and I`m keen to help if you`re looking to improve your German knowledge at beginner or elementary level.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate, and I`m available to start immediately.

Availability: Most weekdays and weekends.

Experience: I`ve helped students aged 14-40 improve their English, using both established course books and creating my own materials to bring lessons to life.

I`m CELTA-qualified (one of two accredited qualifications for teaching English as a foreign language), and I`ve taught English as a foreign language in a private language school in London. I`ve also acted as substitute teacher for a provider of English-language training in Nottingham.

While at university, I successfully completed a student teacher-training programme providing credits towards Qualified Teacher Status. I helped to teach English language and literature to pupils in years 7-9 at a well-regarded Birmingham school.
