I am a chemistry teacher at a 14-19 high school. I have experience in teaching GCSE, BTEC levels 2 and 3 and AS and A2 chemistry.
I believe in making the tuition experience enjoyable and informative. Developing subject knowledge and exam technique significantly builds confidence and makes learning fun.
Availability: Every evening and weekends. Some daytime slots, particularly Wednesday mornings.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: 11 years teaching at a high school recently judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted.
6th year teaching at an independent school.

Ian is an excellent tutor! My son is in year 11 and about to take the new style GCSEs and Ian`s tutoring has restored his confidence after his Mock results (which were not as expected). Apparently most children are in the same boat this year as grade boundaries are yet to be set but Ian`s calm teaching methods and encouragement have reinstated my son`s belief in himself and he looks forward to his tutoring sessions. I can`t thank Ian enough for his help and would absolutely recommend him as a tutor. Ian is always punctual and pleasant and he understands the ways of the teenage boy to get the best out of them!

Ian is a great tutor and my daughters confidence in her abilities has been reinstated and her understanding has increased dramatically.
