Information about Thomas
I am a University Lecturer and Registered Nurse. My current role involves teaching Biology, Academic/Study Skills, Clinical Skills, Simulation, Resuscitation Skills to Nursing and Medical Students. I continue to work as a specialist in A&E and also have a background in Cardiology and Research.
Human Biology has always been a passion and I thoroughly enjoy teaching it. I am comfortable teaching Biology from KS3, KS4 and AS/A-Level and can support students studying Biology as part of other subjects (particularly healthcare). I am experienced supporting adult learners. I can also support students in Health & Social Care related subjects.
I have 10+ years teaching experience, having worked from a trainer for a charitable first aid organisation and build up experience and qualifications along the way. I am now a qualified higher education teacher, holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (Higher Education Teaching). My main degree is a 2:1 BSc(Hons) Adult Nursing but I have undertaken further postgraduate study.
I am able to tutor students face-to-face in Cornwall and Plymouth but can also offer online tutoring via email, skype etc throughout the UK and internationally.
Please contact me if you`d like to discuss your needs further. Once we have an arrangement, I will offer a free 15 minute introductory tutorial to meet for the first time and discuss your requirements face-to-face.
