I am a final year chemical engineering student, studying at the University of Bath who is on course to achieve a first class integrated masters qualification. I have spent the last 12 months of my studies working in industry for a start-up renewable energy company. In this role, I was able to enhance the engineering and science knowledge I have obtained during my first three years at university, and apply these skills to real working scenarios.

For my A levels, I obtained an A for my Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics modules, as well as an A* for Maths. These grades, as well as my application of these subjects at university level engineering further show my high level of both experience and skill in mathematical and scientific areas. Taking these subjects at A level meant my time management skills were developed to a high level at a very young age, and this is a skill I have had to take with me to my university studies and beyond.

I am a very hard working and driven student, shown by my ability to balance my university demands with the outside jobs I have taken up during each year of my studies. This mentality was required during my year long placement, and has put me in a position where I want to continue this hard working attitude. I am eager to translate this skill, along with the other mentioned previously into the tuition of younger students aiming to potentially follow in my footsteps. My experiences and skill set lead me to believe that I would be a great fit for the role.

Experience: I have previous experience of tutoring a lower set year 7 Maths class during my two years of sixth form. Additionally, I was involved in the running of a school homework club during my sixth form years where I, along with other school prefects assisted lower school pupils with the academic work by providing extra tuition.
