Information about David
I am a private tutor based in Bristol (Longwell Green)
Personal Details: I have been a private tutor for 10 years, and have first-class degrees in mathematics and physics. I have experience tutoring GCSE, A-level, and undergraduate science and mathematics, and have tutored young children, adults returning to education, and SEND students with challenging mental, physical, social, or learning needs.
Tutoring Approach: My teaching philosophy is that a student with a reinvigorated passion for the subject will flourish. My teaching method is to holistically assess where they have started to fall behind and rebuild the foundational knowledge from there, typically by appropaching the same topics from multiple angles. I find most students enjoy and benefit from seeing the `deeper` side to topics
For most students, a weekly two-hour session is best, where we assess homework, school work, and go over past papers and custom material.
I`ve found that many students already know the material, but they lack the confidence - very often, their first guess is right! Other students benefit from being provided with a deeper knowledge of the subject than is provided by school, as this engages their curiosity and passion in the subject - while they likely won`t be tested on the finer points of quantum mechanics, it`s invaluable for a physics student to get a glimpse of where their studies are heading.
Availability: I am available for tuition 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. I find a weekly two-hour session is best for most students.
Willing to travel: Home Only

David is a great help both prior and during the lockdown. He is flexible, very understanding and patient in explaining maths questions. He is a high-quality professionalist both Maths and Science subjects and my daughter absolutely loves his lessons.
