Information about Jack
Hello!
My name is Jack, I`m 24, and I`m currently enrolled on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in Law at BPP University under firm Sponsorship. I have a standing history of teaching (see experiences) and enthusiastically welcome the opportunity of working with new students.
I graduated from Durham University with a Prized First in English in 2014 (Jubilee Award: Best Undergraduate Dissertation in English) having completed eighteen independent modules within the discipline, from Old Norse to Fictions of Terrorism, with almost everything in between. I have particular strengths in textual analysis and exam preparation.
Before attending Durham, I completed the International Baccalaureate in 2010, receiving a final grade of 42/45. The subjects taken were as follows:
Higher: English, Economics and Geography
Standard: Maths, Biology, Spanish.
Whilst English is my passion, I have a deep interest in Geography, stemming from numerous trips around the globe, and would be willing to tutor up to Sixth Form level in the subject.

Experience: Before attending University, I ran the CSEC (GCSE Equivalent) English Literature Department of St. Vincent Strambi Catholic High School in rural South-Central Jamaica for a full academic year.
The position involved the writing and marking of examination scri pts, the construction of a new school specific syllabus, as well as the planning and execution of all English Literature lessons over the two CSEC year groups. The grades received by graduating students at the end of 2011 were the second highest ever achieved by the department.
I have further experience working as a TEFL Teacher for Embassy CES, a UK based `English Language` school. I ran lessons from `Beginner` to `Higher Intermediate`.
