Information about Helen
My name is Helen, I am a 29 year old, and have just begun my 7th academic year of teaching. I have had experience across Primary school level, including nursery, and am currently teaching year 5 pupils 3-days a week. I hold a degree in Criminology and Law, which I completed in 2007, before undertaking my PGCE at Hull University.
I am to tutor to the needs of the pupil, whether this be identified by myself, or requested help by the pupil for a specific area. I hope for the pupil to become not only confident but to have a fun, engaging time with me. I ensure that the student is assessed through a variety of effective ways during the lesson to ensure understanding.

Helen is an excellent tutor and we are more than happy to recommend her to others. Helen is always punctual, reliable, flexible in terms of days and time with a readiness to listen to myself and my sons. Helen mainly tutors my eldest son (12) for English and Maths, who is dyslexic, but more recently I have asked her to tutor my youngest son (9) for English. She always comes to the lesson prepared with lots of engaging material. Helen has a very good understanding of the governments SATs exams and what is required to be learned prior to taking them. She is an excellent listener and adapts things to suit my sons dyslexic needs. Both my children enjoy working with Helen and have benefitted immensely from the extra regular support.
