Alice

I am a qualified teacher, after completing a PGCE and graduating in 2013. I then worked in a Middle School before deciding that I would be happier working with pupils in small groups or on an individual basis. I taught Maths and Science up to year 8. I have been tutoring since September 2014 and tutor/have tutored pupils from year 3 up to adults retaking their GCSE from grades 1 - 9.
I returned to teaching in 2019 and have been teaching Maths in a secondary school since then.
My undergraduate degree was in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham.

I am a very enthusiastic and happy person and have a very positive approach when working with people.

Availability: Afternoons and evenings after school.

Alternatively if you get in contact, we can either arrange an alternative meeting place or I can add travel costs on to the lesson price.

Experience: Prior to completing my PGCE I was a teaching assistant. This involved working with individuals on particular topics that they found hard and explaining things to them in different ways to help them understand. As a teacher, I have developed many methods of teaching and fun ways to help everyone get the most from their learning.
I have worked with maths students from level 1 KS1 up to level 9 (A*) at GCSE and have seen progress with everyone I have worked with, as well as an increase in confidence.
I have tutored adults who were retaking their GCSE maths as well, which is a service I am also happy to offer.
