Foundation year 1 doctor at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and recent graduate from Imperial College London, with 5 years and over 2000 hours professional tutoring experience. I am enthusiastic, friendly and committed to helping my tutees succeed. Over the past 4 years I have helped over 20 students excel in exams from GCSEs through to A levels, university entrance exams and medical degree exams.
Having excelled in my exams myself, achieving triple distinctions in medicine, 1st class degree in pharmacology, A*A*A*A at A level and 8A*s and 3As at GCSE, I have lots of experience and knowledge of how to do well in exams to share.
Tutoring style:
In a tuition session I will cover any topics the student is finding hard using a variety of different learning resources including notes I have made myself, the course textbook, online resources and questions and past paper questions. As exams approach I can help students prepare by providing model answers, perfecting exam technique and ensuring a thorough understanding of all topics.
Qualifications:
GCSEs - 7A*s (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Statistics, Italian, Graphic Design), 3As (English Language, English Literature, Latin), Distinction* (BTEC Business Studies), Level 2 Pass (Functional Skills IT). I sat GCSE Statistics 1 year early and Functional Skills IT 2 years early.
AS Levels - 6As (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Critical Thinking). I studied AS maths outside school in year 10 and 11 and self taught a module.
A Levels - 3A*s (Biology, Chemistry and Maths) and 1A (Physics).
A* in the Extended Project Qualification
712.5 in the UKCAT (top 20%) with 890 in quantitative reasoning (top 1%)
BMAT of 5.3, 6.9, 3.5A
Distinction* in years 1, 2, 3 and 5 of medical school (top 10% of the year)
