Hi There,

My name is Alice and I am a secondary school Geography teacher in the Upminster area. I am the Head of Geography at my current school and have a strong academic background. I am in a unique position, in terms of really understanding the needs of your child with resources to match. Many tutors are not educational practitioners and do not understand what the exam boards/requirements of the course are.

I completed my PGCE and Masters at the University of Cambridge and received First Class Honours BA Geography from Royal Holloway, University of London. I have a high IB qualification with subjects including: Geography, Music, French, Biology, Maths and English. I have recent experience in A`level and GCSE and having worked at a number of different schools and have a strong grasp of different exam boards.


I have been tutoring for 3 years privately and spent time at University working as an Academic Mentor for a special needs student at University. In addition I can provide the following help outside subject specialism:

2. Oxbridge and Russell Group University Applications
3. Careers Advice and CV Writing
4. Revision Skills and Essay Writing

I am a friendly, warm, approachable person with a love for working with young people. I myself was tutored for biology and strongly believe in the benefits of working one-to-one with students to get the best out of them. I love sports, and work closely with football teams (mainly girls) and am a competent musician. I believe wholly in having fun whilst learning, using a range of techniques, but at the same time recognise the importance of studying and maintenance of professionalism throughout.
