I am a friendly and charismatic 31 year old medical doctor. I have a passion for teaching all areas of science.

My real area of expertise is neuroscience, but I have a deep understanding of most aspects of human biology. I achieved a very strong A grade in A2 Biology (scoring 100% in one module) and went on to pursue my interest in this subject by completing a Biomedical Science degree at Leeds University.

In 2013 I left a job working as a manager at Amazon head office to become a medical student, training to be a doctor at University of Nottingham. I recently passed my final exams with strong marks. I am fully CRB/DBS checked.

In addition to science tuition, I provide interview coaching for Medicine applicants. My last student won a place at University of Nottingham and is now in her first year as a medical student.

Science is a subject which opens people`s minds to the way the world around them works. This knowledge is empowering, and those "I get it now!" moments are accompanied by a sense of pride and accomplishment. These valuable moments occur at all levels of science education. Each individual student responds differently to different methods of teaching, which means that schools struggle to cater to the learning styles of every student. I approach education with the view that people learn in different ways, and what works with one individual might not be of use to another. I am a firm believer that science is best learned in context, and is far more fascinating when delivered with historical perspective, such as stories of discovery and invention. I am happy to provide tuition to all levels of ability.

I have tutored more than 15 pupils over the last few years.

I also have experience in interview coaching for medicine.

While at university I worked part-time for a school events company for 3 years. In this role I visited many schools across the North, delivering enterprise education to 10-18 year old pupils of varying background and ability.
