I am a fully qualified, English trained Secondary Mathematics teacher. I have gained significant experience of teaching Mathematics right across the age and ability spectrum and have a proven track record of being able to engage, motivate and inspire students, particularly those who lack confidence. As a GCSE Mathematics Examiner I am extremely familiar with the demands of the GCSE examination and feel that I am well placed to support the students I work with to realise their full potential. I also have some experience of primary maths having worked with local feeder primary schools on extending gifted pupils, completed a term as a Y6 HLTA and Maths specialist and having been a Mathematics Examiner for the National SATs exams undertaken by Year 6 children.
Availability: I have very limited availability remaining, primarily on the weekend.

Experience: In addition to being an experienced private tutor, I have a wide range of class teaching experience in English state schools throughout the past ten years. I am currently teaching full time within the hospital school sector, working with an extremely wide range of learners within the primary and secondary age range. Prior to this I taught at a variety of mainstream settings, including an outstanding girls grammar school in Newport, Shropshire, an academy school in Salisbury and a community comprehensive school in Reading, Berkshire where I qualified and achieved Qualified Teacher Status.
Furthermore, I am an experienced GCSE Mathematics Examiner for Pearson (Edexcel). Last year I also marked the National SATs examinations for Year 6 students so I have a thorough understanding of the requirements.

Excellent tutor . Very easy going, explains things clearly, understanding and patience. My son enjoys the tutor lessons and has excelled in his maths GCSES . He now has confidence to try harder questions and Kenny achieves the best out of the student

Kenny is a dedicated tutor, fully conversant with the demands of my son`s GCSE syllabus. My son has quickly gained confidence with his maths thanks to Kenny. He actually looks forward to his lesson!

I asked Kenny to help my son in his GCSE year because his confidence in maths was quite low thought that one on one tutoring was needed. We have only been going for a few weeks but the welcome was very warm and my son felt at ease even from the first session. Kenny`s enthusiasm for maths is contagious and my son even admitted he was enjoying learning maths again quite a feat!
The approach to bench marking my sons ability was thorough, quite fast paced but really encouraging, and the levels of homework being set have been discussed with both me and my son to make sure the balance is right with school.
All in all finding a tutor can be a bit of a nervy experience but so far Kenny has been friendly, professional, empathetic and a great teacher.
