Information about Tracey

My name is Tracey, I am 36 years old and have been a fully qualified teacher of science since 2008. My training as a teacher focused around children aged between 7 and 14 and the transition from primary school to secondary school. I then went on to teach in two secondary schools in the area and have gained experience teaching GCSE and A Level science as well as maths, history and geography.

I have particular experience working with students with special educational needs to help them achieve their full potential.

I am Cambridge CELTA trained to teach English as a foreign language.

Availability: Monday to Friday 8:00-22:00
Saturday 8:30-5:30

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: During my training as a teacher I have worked in both primary and secondary schools in Kent. In my most recent teaching position at an academy in Folkestone I held the responsibility of KS3 Teaching & Learning Coordinator.

My teaching has been judged to be good with elements of outstanding by OFSTED.
I have a good knowledge of the assessment criteria from KS2 science (year 5 SATS exams), GCSE science and KS5 Biology (A Level)
I have been the lead in my department for producing schemes of work and lesson plans suitable for KS3 pupils who, for a variety of reasons, were not able to access the KS3 curriculum.

I have also worked as a voluntary science officer in Asia teaching marine biology and ecology to adult learners through classroom and SCUBA diving activities.

I have been teaching English as a foreign language at summer schools in Canterbury and Folkestone since 2012
